Courses for parents 2008 - 2009

Sheffield Mind & Parent Lifeline (Helpline for Parents) run a series of courses for parents and carers of children of all ages. The 7-session courses present various parenting strategies. We consider what influences behaviour, well-being and child-parent relationships; what helps.

Assertiveness for parents

(for parents/carers of children aged 2-18)

Tuesday morning November 4th 2008 at 9.30am (crèche)

Thursday evening April 30th 2009 at 7.30pm (tbc)

Effective parenting

(for parents/carers of children aged 0-7)

Thursday evening October 2nd 2008 at 7.30pm

Tuesday morning March 3rd 2009 at 9.30am (crèche)

Some places will be available in our free crèche for Tuesday morning courses.

Course fees: £15 (concessions available). The fee includes the cost of the handbook, which participants keep, and tea or coffee & biscuits after each session. Each session lasts 1½ hrs + ½hr coffee & chat.

Courses are held at Sheffield Mind, Lawton Tonge House, 57 Wostenholm Road, Sheffield, S7 1LE
