You may have seen the National Bullying Helpline on the news, and you may be feeling worried that other helplines would break confidentiality. Parent Lifeline would like to reassure you all our calls remain anonymous and that WE WOULD NEVER tell the press (or anyone else) any details of calls. . The only exception would be if a child was at significant risk of harm, where we would ask for help from an appropriate statutory agency.

We offer emotional support and understanding to parents under stress of any kind, whatever the ages of their children. Parent Lifeline is not just a helpline for times of crisis, but for any time that a mother or father feels the need for someone to turn to and talk things over with a sympathetic listener. We believe that asking for help is a sign of responsibility, not a mark of failure. We can often suggest further avenues of help if the caller wishes. Callers may wish to remain anonymous. |
